Please let us take the guesswork out and provide you links to educational sites that we have researched, used, and promoted as literacy coaches. We are here to help guide you along the way to continuing your child’s educational journey during uncertain times.
RESOURCE A
IXL is personalized learning for both Math and Language Arts for all grades. As your child works through the lessons, IXL adjusts to their level, so the work is never too hard or too easy and there are as many practice activities as your child needs to learn the lesson. It also gives recommendations for what topics your child should work on next. The IXL system is designed to make learning fun.The program works for children in Kindergarten all the way to Grade 12 and has apps for both Apple and Android devices.
RESOURCE B
Raz-kids is offering a free subscription to their resources for both parents and educators for the rest of the school year. Once you are signed up, your child can have access to hundreds of levelled books ranging from Kindergarten to grade 8. They can read the books themselves or have the program read them aloud and follow along. There is a short comprehension quiz after each book is read to see how well they understand what they are reading.
